Iryna Fedyshyn (born 1 February 1987 in Lviv, Ukraine) is one of Ukraine's most beloved pop singers and songwriters, celebrated as the golden voice of her homeland. Raised in a musical family — her father a musician, her mother working in a cultural centre — Iryna discovered her vocal talent at the age of three and never looked back.
She received her musical education at a Lviv music school, which she graduated from with honours, while simultaneously studying economics at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and taking private vocal lessons. Her dedication paid off early: in 2005 she performed in the semi-final of the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and went on to participate in "Schlager of the Year" concerts in 2006 and 2009.
Iryna's artistry blends two musical worlds — Ukrainian folk tradition and contemporary pop — creating a sound that is both deeply rooted and broadly accessible. She has released four studio albums: "Your Angel" (2007), "Ukraine Carols" (2007), "Password" (2012) and "You Are Only Mine" (2017). "Ukraine Carols" sold over 10,000 copies within just six weeks of release. In 2015, she won a Ukrainian folk song competition with "Heart Beat", and in 2018 she participated in Season 8 of "The Voice of Ukraine", performing her original composition "Little Palms" at the blind auditions.
A tireless live performer, Iryna regularly tours across Ukraine — in January 2022 alone she visited 18 cities. In 2022 she returned to Eurovision, this time as a judge. With millions of devoted fans and a career spanning two decades, Iryna Fedyshyn remains one of the defining voices of Ukrainian popular music.
